National Award for Teachers
The high point of Jamadar's public recognition was the National Award for Teachers, presented to him at the hands of the President of India, Giani Zail Singh, on a stage banner reading "National Awards ... Satyapakon ko Rashtriya ... kar" (सत्यापकों को राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार). The family holds this photograph both as a loose original print and as two separately framed copies — a sign of how significant this honour was considered within the family.

Local felicitations
Long before the National Award, Jamadar was repeatedly honoured within his own teaching community — garlanded at receptions marking his various union roles, and by institutions he was associated with, including the teachers' own cooperative bank.
