Guruvarya Abdul Hamid Miraso Jamadar

Guruvarya Abdul Hamid Miraso Jamadar (गुरुवर्य अब्दुल हमीद मिरासो जमादार) — known throughout his public life simply as A. M. Jamadar (अ. मि. जमादार) — was a primary-school headmaster from Kagal, in Kolhapur district, Maharashtra, who rose to lead the state's primary-teachers' movement — serving as General Secretary of the Maharashtra Rajya Prathmik Shikshak Sangh and of the Rashtriya Prathmik Shikshan Parishad, Mumbai. Over more than two decades of public life he sat across the table with a Prime Minister, a President of India, three Chief Ministers, and teachers' delegations from Afghanistan, the United States, and across India.
